Description
WWII ESB Engineer Service Battalion Newsmap Poster. The front text describes action on various war fronts: Open Metz drive, Strong barriers ahead, Pressure on Budapest, Tirpitz goes down, Japs stiffen resistance, B-29s over targets, Evacuate U.S. air base. The Maps are Western front, Budapest to Miskolc front, Third Army offensive, Leyte, Allied troops strike south in Burma. The back describes amphibian armies’ combat strategies and victories. Includes 3 photographs plus images of the Amphibious shoulder patch and pocket patch. Volume III, No. 318. Prepared and distributed by Army Information Branch. Army Service Forces. Approximate size is 34.5 x 47 inches. Condition is used with some rough edges and a couple small tears along the creases. Still good condition for its age.
