Description
WWII 1944 Air Force Pilot David R. Swoager was attached to the 302nd Troop Carrier Squadron. You will receive The Plane Wrangler 44G (Arledge Field, Stamford, Texas) and The Echelon 44G (Perrin Field, Sherman, Texas) Class yearbooks. Many classmates signed each book. This would make an exceptionally good research project. You will also receive a couple papers and Flight 12 Perrin Field Sherman, Texas Class 44-G Photo. NOTE: Combat Operations of the 302nd included airborne assaults on Normandy, southern France, the Netherlands, and Germany, relief of Bastogne, and aerial transportation in ETO and MTO, during World War II. Campaigns included Rome-Arno; Normandy, Northern France; Southern France; Rhineland; Ardennes-Alsace; Central Europe. Decorations received were Distinguished Unit Citation: France, June 1944.
