Description
Huge archive to WWII 44th Bomb Group, Medal of Honor Recipient, and later FOUR STAR GENERAL Leon Johnson. Lot includes his original dress cap with calling card, British made sew on ribbon bars (MOH is a piece of colored paper paper filler), Bullion insignia, wings, stars, photos, letters to and from him, letters and signatures from over 50 other Flag Officers and numerous Medal of Honor recipients, military paperwork of his, and more. We have shown a small fraction of what is included in this collection. Also comes with photos of other uniforms and medals of his, and I do not know where they currently reside. The signatures are a veritable Whos Who of 40s-70s military leadership, with names such as Leslie R. Groves, Eddie Rickenbacker, Nathan Twining, Arthur Struble, Leland Hobbs, David C. Jones, Russell E. Dougherty, J.P. McConnell, Jacob Smart.
